Study of waves

People who are looking for alternate sources of energy could use the information about the waves and how to predict them to show the projected output of a power plant that uses waves to run turbines. If this person knew that the waves would be strong enough to provide a good source of energy for the community he/she could use that information to try and push for the creation of the power plant. The wave information could be used to predict the estimated output of a power plant using the waves.
P.s there is a name for this sort of power plant but i dont know the ame of it :D

currents and shoes

The winds acre caused by pressure differences caused by the rising an lowering of hot and cool air. Air from the equator will move its warm air towards the pools while the cool air from the poles replace that warms and continues te cycle. The pressure creates high and low pressures cause wind to move in different directions. The winds affect the water by being the cause for the currents. the currents move with the winds which are different in the different areas of pressure.

part 2
The shoes where moved by the currents. as the shoes where picked up by the ocean current they go into a large rotation the is at the area they where pushed to the shore and then picked up by people. who wanted free shoes.

The blue tang and the coral have a very good relationship. The blue tang will eat algi off the dead coral around the living organisms. And the coral provide a living area and protection. Blue tang protect the coral from swarms of other fish the try and eat the fish. Together the provide both protection from other animals that could pose a threat to the.

I agree with Johnathan's post that the bottom of the ocean isnt just flat land. In his post he talks about how there are both large mountains and Large ocean canons that spot the oceans. He also talks about how plate tectonics are what cause the large mountains and crevasses.

Surface tension allows water to hold light or less dense water then itself. as with this bug it uses surface tension to travel across water
Becuase of adhesion water or dew that forms onto a blade of grass will attempt to attach to the blade.

Cohesion allows water to stick to itself as much as it can. Which keeps water from spreading out when placed on a flat object

light levels

The Disphotic has a slight amount of light at this level. Many fish are partly sea throught to stop predators from from eating them. From the sides the fish is completely invisible. On the bottom the fish released chemicals that turned its self blue to match the color of the ocean. The chimerical mix together similar to the process of green glow sticks. The fish is almost blind so it senses small movements in the water to track its food.
For the Aphotic zone i will talk about the tripod fish. This fish does not swim unless to move to a new feeding spot. The fish stand on 3 specialty made fins and eats what ever wonders near it. The fish lives on the bottom of the abyssal plain where no light reaches so it is completely blind.
For the Euphotic i chose the sperm whale. This whale Spends most of its time feeding on large amounts of plankton or and other organism that wonders into its mouth. because of the light the whale uses sight to find food. The whale uses its size alone to fend of predators. It is a mammal so it rises to the surface to breath.

Atoms, Molecules, and seawater

When a waterdrop forms it is using cohesion. When the water drops begin to cool down they form rain drops. The properties of water allow them to be attractive to each other. So while the form into water drops the molecules attract to each other and fall out of the sky.

Seasonal Seas

I chose to right about the awesome might of the jellyfish. The jellyfish eats only plancton and small fish. The use the tentacles to paralyze the organism and then slowly move it to its beak like mouth. Shadefish, Sunfish, Small crabs, and asian countries are all that eat this animal. making being a jellyfish very safe.

The animal I thought i would do was the cute little Artic Fox. This awesome little animal has many cool adaptations to help it survive in the wild. It scavenges for animals already killed by the poler bear during the winter and during the summer it will kill smaller animals like bird. The fox will burry its food just incase it need to eat it again if it cant find food. The fox has a larger amount of fur to survive the cold air. The Foxes travel usually by himself and at times will travel in small groups when food is scarce.

Lat. 21 in the Pacific Ocean

Our area of the pacific ocean was right over the North American plate and the Pacific ocean plate. Because the 2 plates are subductive there is a large trench. the trench runs along both the american west coast and the mexican west coast. because of the subduction the area is prone to large earth quakes. The subduction is caused but the pacific plate going under the North American plate. They 2 plates cause the continental margin to be very small.
The continental margin on our region is almost un noticeable because of the subduction. There is only a small continental shelf before it goes into a sharp slope. The continental rise is also very sharp almost going straight into the ocean floor. The subduction causes shelf to be close to the shore line of north america and mexico. There is also a large trench where the subduction is happening. Its quite large and goes straight into the continental shelf

The Blue Planit

I thought the best thing about the movie we had watch was the sun fish. This fish was SO COOL! They where these odd large fish the reminded me of cheese wedges. Their fins where so odd with 2 in the fron. and 2 more all the way at their. I also liked the other fish. like the flying fish that looked liked it had tiny wings. They where cool too. But the sun fish where way cooler!

Waves are most likely my favorite out of anything in the ocean.
There just so over powering. The you could surf them, its just a rush.
Then it would be the ocean sponges. They Are just amazing, theres nothing like these majestic creators. Then theres the volcanos. They created the land we are on and are still going. They are just pure power and that is cool!
